The Best and the Brightest started in 1986, originally showcasing works by both students and instructors. Today, the show highlights the School’s top students from around the world. The show opened to the public in January 2016 and will remain displayed at the School through the month of February 2016. Any student who had taken a workshop or weekly class within the last three years at Scottsdale Artists’ School was invited to submit artwork into the show. Entries then went through a jurying process and a variety of awards were given to pieces in the categories of: Oil, Pastel/Drawing, Sculpture, Small Works (8×10 inches or smaller) and Water Media. Many of the School’s illustrious students have gotten their first honors from The Best and The Brightest Show which has been instrumental in flourishing their artistic careers.
